Saving $1.3 Million in Blowing Rock
Yakum, Israel, 22 April 2026 – AQS (Aquarius Spectrum) by Aliaxis, a leader in high performance leak management solutions, proudly shares its achievement in North Carolina.
The Town of Blowing Rock, is a small water utility located in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, serving roughly 2,300 customers through 58 miles of water distribution piping.
Together with our local partner, Ferguson Waterworks, we conducted a pilot in selected areas of the water distribution network.
We deployed AQS acoustic sensors to proactively monitor their water distribution network. Shortly after installation, our platform identified a massive customer-side leak losing 550 gallons per minute. The ROI is undeniable: Had this leak gone undetected for a year, it would have cost the utility nearly $1.3 million. This represents approximately 289 million gallons of lost water annually. By moving from reactive “firefighting” to proactive monitoring, we aren’t just saving water, we’re safeguarding the utility’s financial and operational future.
We are proud to partner with the Ferguson team to empower US utilities with the data they need to build a more sustainable and efficient future.
